02: THIMPU: Fly to Paro. Met on arrival & transferred to your hotel in

Day 03: THIMPU: Daylong sightseeing includes Memorial Chorten,
Trashichho Dzong, National Library, Painting School,
Traditional Medicines Institute, Handicrafts Emporium, and
Simtokha Dzong- Bhutan's most ancient fortress. Evening free to
explore colourful bazaar of Thimpu. |

Day 04: PUNAKHA:
Drive through most spectacular views of Himalayas to Punakha. Soft green
herbs and a riotous canvas of flowers make the view breathtaking. Later visit
17th century fortress Punakha Dzong followed by a visit to local
market. Also visit a newly built stupa Khamsum Yulley Namgyel Chorten.
Afternoon visit Wangduephodrang Dzong. |

Day 05: TRONGSA: Drive to the ancient town of Trongsa. Afternoon
visit Trongsa Dzong, the Ta Dzong and the local bazar.
The massive, many-leveled Trongsa Dzong is still home to a large
community of monks. |

Day 06: PARO: Drive to the enchanting valley of Paro,
home to many of Bhutan's oldest temples and its first airport.
Remaining day at leisure. |

Day
07: PARO: Morning, visit National Museum of the Kingdom- Ta
Dzong. Then walk down the trail to visit Rinpung Dzong, which has
a long and fascinating history. Afternoon, visit a ruined fortress of Drukgyel Dzong,
and 7th century Kyichu Lhakhang- one of the oldest and
most sacred shrines of Bhutan. |

08: PHUENTSHOLING: Proceed to the gateway town of Phuentsholing,
a fascinating mixture of Bhutanese and Indian cultures. Afternoon visit to
Kharbandi Monastry. |

09: SILIGURI: Drive to Siliguri crossing Indo-Bhutan border. Day at
leisure. |

Day
10: DARJEELING: Drive to the most beautiful hill resort of Eastern
India, Darjeeling. Arrive and check in your Hotel. Remaining day at
leisure. |

Day
11: DARJEELING: Drive to the Tiger Hill to view sunrise and the snowy
peaks of Kanchenjunga. Later visit Senchal Lake and Ghoom
Monastery. Afternoon city tour includes Himalayan Mountaineering Institute
along with a visit to the Tea Estate, where you can watch the
pickers at work. |

12: KALIMPONG: Morning enjoy a fascinating drive through Tea estates
to another beautiful hill resort, Kalimpong, Here, you visit Gladioli
flower nurseries, Dr. Graham's unique school, sericulture institute
and the
bustling bazaars of the small hill
town. |

Day
13: GANGTOK: Drive to Gangtok, known for its orchids & flowers
and for the heavy influence of the Tibetan culture. Arrive and check in
your hotel. Remaining day at leisure. |

|
Day 14: GANGTOK: Morning excursion to the Rumtek
Monastery and the Research Institute of Tibetology. The Rumtek
Monastery is a structure of great beauty, where the 16th Gwalpa
along with his followers took refuge after the Chinese invaded Tibet.
Later enjoy city sightseeing. |

Day 15: DELHI: Morning drive to Bagdogra airport to board your
flight to Delhi. Arrive Delhi and Check in your hotel. Rest of the day
is at your discretion. |

Day 16: DELHI: Assisted departure transfer to the International
airport in time to connect your flight back home. |
