01: MUMBAI: You are welcome in India. Met on arrival and transferred
to your hotel. Rest of the day is at leisure. |

02: MUMBAI: Visit the highlights of Mumbai (Bombay) covering
Prince Of Wales Museum, Hanging Gardens, Mani Bhavan, Dhobi Ghat,
colourful bazaar of Crawford, and Afgan Church. |

03: MUMBAI: Morning visit the Gateway Of India. Followed by
Half-day trip to Elephanta Caves Island for astonishing ancient
sculptures. Rest of the day is at leisure. |

Day 04: BANGALORE: Reach Bangalore by morning flight. Afternoon
city tour includes Tipu Sultan's Palace, Bull Temple, Lalbagh
gardens, Cubbon Park, and imposing edifice of Vidhan Soudha.
Evening is free to move around M.G. road area. |

Day 05: SRAVANABELAGOLA: Morning visit ISKCON temple,
dedicated to Lord Krishna, and Nrityagram- India's only village
to learn Indian classical dances. Later, proceed to Hassan, |

visiting enroute Sravanabelagola, the site of the world's tallest
monolithic statue of Bahubali. |

Day
06: HASSAN: Day excursion to Belur & Halebid. Visit
Chennakeshava temple, which is a fine example of Hoysala architecture.
This temple took over a century to complete. |

Day 07: MADIKERI:
Reach Madikeri, famous for its extensive coffee plantation that
covers most of the hillsides. Visit Madikeri Fort, Omkareshwara temple,
Raja's seat and Abbey Falls. Also visit Tibetan settlement at
Bylakuppe to see impressive 40-ft Buddha. |

Day 08: MADIKERI:
Day free to move around in the misty Coorg hills or boating on
Cauvery River. You can also take a plantation tour or just to laze
in a hammock and watch a dung beetle do its thing. But, do not forget to
relish local delicacies at plantation house. |

|
Day 09: NAGARHOLE: Proceed to Nagarhole National Park-
one of the country's finest deciduous forest and home to tigers,
elephants, panthers, sloth bears, gaur, barking dear & sambhar.
Afternoon enjoy elephant safari in the park. |

Day 10: KOZHIKODE: Morning Coracle ride on Kabini River.
Later drive to Kozhikode, visiting enroute Kollam, to see
people making Hookah. Afternoon visit Beypore where you can see
people working on the Uru- the traditional Arabian trading
vessel made entirely of |

wood by
hand. Also visit Kappad beach, where Vasco de Gama landed with 170
men in three vessels. |

Day
11: COCHIN: Proceed to Cochin visiting the Ayurvedic Centre at
Kottakal and the Elephant stables at Guruvayur en route. At Cochin,
sunset cruise to see Chinese Fishing Nets. Evening is reserved for
a spectacular Kathakali dance performance. |

12: COCHIN: Sightseeing tour of Cochin. Afternoon is free for
shopping. Evening, enjoy live performance of Kalaripayattu- the
traditional martial art of Kerala (Optional). |

Day 13:
MUNNAR: Drive to Munnar,
popularly known as the tea country, offers a breathtaking view of the
hills draped in folds of green carpet of tea gardens. Reach Munnar and
check in your hotel. Visit tea estate & factory after some leisure. |

DAY 14:
MUNNAR: Morning leave for
Eravikulam National |
|
|
|
Park to
watch rare mountain goat, Nilgiri Thar. Later visit highly
specialized dairy farm- Indo Swiss Livestock Project and enjoy
boating at Mattupetty Lake. |

Day
15: MADURAI: Continue to the temple town of Madurai. Afternoon city
tour of Madurai including Sri Meenakshi Temple, Tirumalai Nayak
Palace, Koodal Alagar temple, and Gandhi Museum. Evening free to roam
around the colourful bazaars. |

16: MADURAI: Daylong excursion to the Hindu pilgrimage centre of
Rameshwaram. |

Day 17: PERIYAR: Proceed to the
wildlife reserve at Periyar, lies in
the shadow of the Cardamom hills. Late afternoon enjoy a boat ride on
the lake to see the herds of wild elephants that come to the
lake to frolic in its waters. |

Day 18:
BACK WATERS: Picturesque drive
through rubber, and spice plantations to Kumarakom. Arrive and
commence |

an
overnight houseboat cruise to Alappuzha. This most enchanting
journey enables you to watch
backwaters lifestyle from very close. |

Day
19: SOMATHEERAM: Arrive Alappuzha. Check out from House Boat & drive
to a beach resort at Somatheeram. Day at leisure. You can also take a walk
along the rustic countryside. |

20: SOMATHEERAM: Day is reserved for-
Option I: the excursion to Kanyakumari to visit Gandhi
Memorial, and Vivekanand Memorial- built in the memory of Indian
philosopher, Swami Vivekanand. Also visit wooden palace of
Padnabhapuram, and Suchindram temple en route.
Option II: the sightseeing trip of Trivandrum, including a
trip to Chalai Market- a typical market of Kerala. |

21: SOMATHEERAM: Day free to relax at the immaculate tropical beach.
Set out for fishing with local fishermen on traditional Catamaran
OR join the Yoga class for transcendental meditation OR rejuvenate
yourself with the much acclaimed Ayurveda treatment. |

22: TRIVANDRUM: Board the afternoon flight from Trivandrum airport to
Mumbai. Met on arrival & transferred directly to the International
airport. |
