01: NEW DELHI: Welcome in India. Transferred to your hotel. Day at
leisure. |

02: DELHI: Daylong tour of Old Delhi (Shahajahanabad) and Lutyn's
Delhi (New Delhi). Also visit Sikh Temple. Evening enjoy Dances
of India show followed by dinner at Chor Bizarre. |

Day 03: AMRITSAR: Reach Amritsar by train. Later visit
Jalianwala Bagh, Golden temple- the Sikh shrine, and Wagah
Border (Indo-Pakistan Border) to witness the retreat. Evening free
to explore the
lively bazaars & visit 16th century
Hindu Durgiana temple. |

Day 04: DHARAMSHALA: Proceed to Dharamshala- place of
Tibetan government in exile. Arrive & check in your hotel. |

Enjoy a
relaxed evening, witnessing the sunset on the Himalayas. |

05: Mc LEODGANJ: Visit Tibetan settlements, Tsuglagkhang- Dalai
Lama's temple, learning centres, craft centres, Tibetan Library, and
SOS village. Also visit St. John's Church-in-the wilderness
nearby. If lucky, get an opportunity to meet His Holiness Dalai Lama. |

Day 06: PALAMPUR: Drive to Palampur. Arrive & check in
Taragarh Palace owned by Maharaja of Kashmir. Later visit tea
factory to see the processing of Kangra tea. Rest of the day at
leisure. Optional visit to Baijnath temple or village of
renowned artists- Andretta. |

Day 07: NALAGARH: Continue to Nalagarh. Stay in royal residence
Nalagarh Fort, located on a hillock at the foothills of lesser
Himalayas. Day at leisure. |

08: SHIMLA: Morning drive to the sprawling town of Shimla. In Shimla,
visit a few Colonial mansions including Indian Institute of Advance
Studies, the Mall and the Scandal Point. |

09: SHIMLA: Day at leisure. Optional excursions to Chail, Kufri
or Narkanda. |

10: RENUKAJI: Morning enjoy the most scenic journey by
Toy Train till Solan. Followed by drive to Renukaji. Arrive &
check in your hotel. Rest of the day is free to visit the largest lake of
Himachal Pradesh- Renuka Lake, temples around the lake and a
lion safari park. |

11: MUSSOORIE: Proceed to Poanta Sahib to visit the impressive
Sikh temple dedicated to 10th Sikh guru, Govind Singh. Later
continue Mussoorie. Rest of the day at leisure. |

12: MUSSOORIE: Visit Kempty Falls - the biggest & prettiest
waterfall of the area. |

13: RISHIKESH: Drive to the city of ashrams- Rishikesh with en
route visit of Dhanolti, from where one can view over 200 miles of
the central Himalayan range. Afternoon visit Ghats, Ashrams and
Temples. |

Day 14: HARIDWAR: Morning drive to Haridwar to visit holy ghats
on the Ganges and temples including Mansa Devi temple on the
hill above the city, which is accessed by Ropeway. Also visit
colourful Bara Bazaar. In the evening witness an "Aarti"
of the
Goddess Ganges. Later board the
night train to Delhi. |

15: AGRA: Arrive Delhi and drive straight to Agra. Afternoon visit the
most extravagant monument ever built for love- Taj Mahal, and the
impressive Agra Fort. |

Day
16: DELHI: Early morning visit to the Taj Mahal to relish its charms
at sunrise (Optional). Later drive to the ghost city of Fatehpur Sikri
built by Akbar the Great. Followed by
delectable lunch in the courtyard of
Laxmi Vilas Palace. Lunch is followed by visit to the most famous
sanctuary for water birds- Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary on
cycle-rickshaws. Later drive directly to Indira Gandhi International
Airport to board the flight back home. |
